Recommended articles for review

  • The list of articles published in "Globe" Magazine since 2013 can be found here. You can find these magazines in the school's library. Look at the sky is a permanent box. It is important that these articles are usually 2-3 pages (of course, there are exceptions). Generally, it's difficult to write review about these articles, but 2-3 of them are related to this task.
  • The National Geographic Magazine in November 2016 and August 2017 is largely about astronomy (Mars, space race). Until December 2016 this magazine can be found in the library, if not, these two numbers can be requested from me.

Recommended movies

  • Discovery Channel: How the Universe Works series (available on YouTube)
  • The Martian
  • Independece Day
  • Asteroid
  • etc.

Other scoring possibilites

  • Calculation tasks in connection with the local and the zonal time (6 points)
    • 4 calculation task, which everybody has to ask individually on Teams
  • The observation and the documentation (with photos) of the Moon's light change (10 points)
    • Have to take pictures of the Moon for 28 days (one photo for each day)
    • Have to organize the photos in cronological order / upload it in .gif extension in Teams
    • For more information about when the Moon is in the sky, here's a link:: http://csillagaszat.taracsak.hu/ -
  • Tabular task in connection with the incidence angle of the sunbeams (5 points + 2 points)

Have to make a table, which in it's colums have to wite the remarkable dates (spring equinox, summer solstice, autumn equinox, winter solstice). In the rows the candidate has to write the remarkable latidudes (North Pole, North Artic Circle, Tropic of Cancer, Equator, Tropic of Capricorn, Antartic Circle, North Pole point), and there is must be one-one (6 cantle) arbitrary chosen latitude. So the table has to 13 rows except the letterhead.

In the cells of the table you have to write down, that on the notable days at what degree the sunbeams are in each latitudes.

For this, you can find help here.

Based on your table try to formulate (for 2 points), that what kind of regularity can be recognize generally in each day!
